The new bedside infotainment system BIS-W19-ULT4 from ICP Deutschland is a medical panel PC and monitor in one due to the integrated switch. Doctors and nursing staff can use the BIS-W19-ULT4 in many ways, whether as a digital patient database, as a visualization system for consultations or for push notifications and as an entertainment system for the patient.

High-power for power-intensive Ethernet devices.


Power over Ethernet (PoE) has become indispensable in today's industrial environment. The advantages of this technology are obvious: low cabling and operating costs, fast installation and greater application flexibility. What the current PoE standard IEEE 802.3af/at lacks, however, is the necessary power to run more and more power-intensive devices.

The new PoE standard IEEE 802.3bt should pave the way for this in the future. Meanwhile, ICP Deutschland already has a suitable high-power PoE series with a power capacity of 60W per port. Thus, HMI devices or Powered Devices (P.D.) with a power consumption of more than 15W can be connected to the Ethernet network without any problems.

The portfolio includes the Ethernet switch IGPS-9084GP-60W, the media converter IPMC-111PB++60W, the injector INJ-101GT++60W-24V, the splitter SPL-101GT++ and the PoE extender PET-102GT++.

The IGPS-9084GP-60W is a managed PoE Ethernet switch that offers smart management in addition to the common network functions. This allows for example an individual port configuration regarding power mode, primary power source, current priority or maximum power supply.

The compact media converter IPMC-111PM-60W is optimized for use in the control cabinet and is equipped with a SFP port. The integrated LFP (Link Fault Pass-through) function ensures that subsequent devices are correctly addressed despite link failures.

HYPER-BW-E8 – Low-cost PICO-ITX CPU Board

The compact Pico-ITX CPU Board HYPER-BW-E8 from ICP Deutschland offers a perfect overlap of graphics performance, interfaces and expansion options. It is suitable for applications such as digital signage, compact embedded systems and visualizations using high-resolution displays.

An on-board Intel® Quad-Core x5-E8000 SoC with a maximum power dissipation of 5W is permanently integrated on the 100x72mm CPU board. In addition, two Mini HDMI interfaces with Ultra High Definition (4K) resolution are available. The graphics performance is based on the Intel® HD Graphics Gen8 engine, which supports DX11.1 and OpenGL 4.2 as well as OpenCL 1.2.

High-performance IPCs for compute-intensive applications can now be implemented with the latest Intel® Coffee Lake processor technology.

The new ATX CPU board IMBA-Q370 with Intel® Q370 chipset from ICP Deutschland serves as the basis. Its computing power is based on CoreTM i7/i5/i3, Celeron® and Pentium® processors of the eighth generation. The CPU board can hold up to four DDR4 RAM with max. 64GB.

The highlights are two flexibly configurable M.2 ports, which support SATA, USB 2.0, PCIe signals. In addition, the IMBA-Q370 can be flexibly expanded via one PCIe x1, x8, x16 and two PCIe x4 slots as well as two PCI slots. In response to the growing demand for small and compact CPU boards and systems, M.2 solid state drives (SSD) are also increasingly used in industrial environments. Because the smallest form factor M.2 (80x22x4mm) is easy to install and particularly space-saving. Similar to the mSATA form factor, users want to protect critical embedded applications from possible data loss. An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is usually the solution when there are no cost or space restrictions. If these requirements are not met, the integrated powerguard function of the M.2 2280 M336 series from ICP Deutschland is a reliable alternative.

This function works like a UPS integrated in the SSD in the event of an abrupt power failure and prevents possible data loss. The integrated tantalum capacitors are permanently charged with 12V and maintain the current until all data still in the storage process of the M.2 are saved.
