Ethernet Switch / 8-Port

The NS-208 and NSM-108 are 8 port ethernet switches which support 10/100 Base-TX transmission, 10/100M auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X function. These two last functionalities allow the NS-208 and NSM-108 to be fully plug-and play: they can detect automatically the used transmission speed (10 Mbps or 100 Mbps), as well as the type of ethernet cable used for the connection (crossed or not). Therefore, the use is made simple, and there is no need for any configuration.

Each port has its own LED, to verify the transmission working status. Further smart functionalities are provided to cope up with the provide robust data transmission: the RJ-45 ports are shielded, a "soft start" function with overload protection is provided, and a high-low voltage protection protects the switch for electrical shocks. Each ethernet port has a memory buffer supporting a store-and-forward mechanism, which ensures a reliable transmission without data loss. In addition, a high memory bandwidth (2 Gbps) is included.

NS-208 and NSM-108 can be mounted on DIN-Rail or wall (only NSM-208), and to power them, an external DC power supply (10~30 VDC) is required. NS-208 is delivered in a plastic casing, NSM-108 in a metal casing.
