Power over Ethernet++ (PoE++) switches are indispensable components in modern network infrastructures, delivering both data and electrical power over a single Ethernet cable to connected devices. This advanced technology enables seamless integration and easy installation of high-power endpoints such as high-resolution IP cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points, and IoT devices without the need for additional power cables. IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++) provides up to 60 or even 100 watts of power per port, with a minimum of 50 to 57 volts direct current (DC) transmitted over the Ethernet cables.
