For mobile data collection in the field, whether in logistics, service, or in hospitality, special functions, for instance a completely protected housing or a 1D/2D barcode scanner are essential.

With the new edition of the MODAT-532, ICP Deutschland offers an industrial PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) with a 5.3” capacitive touch display and an Android 5.0 operating system. On the one hand, the MODAT-532 proves an enormous robustness due to his resistance against shocks from a drop height of up to 1.5m and temperature changes from -10°C to +50°C. On the other hand, the integrated barcode scanner and its compatible software guarantee reliable decoding of many barcode types (e.g. PDF417,QR Code, DataMatrix, Aztec etc.), even if unevenness or damages may be present.

Besides these special functions the MODAT offers all common functions of a modern smartphone like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, microphone, speaker and a 13MP camera.
